Workers Compensation:

Injuries sustained at work will be assessed as being a Workplace Injury. The State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) is responsible for workers compensation in New South Wales. Further information may be accessed via their website at:

http://www.sira.nsw.gov.au

Pre-approval for the consultation is required for all Workcover patients, otherwise you may be liable for the consultation fee.

Please ask your Workcover case manager to fax written approval for the consultation to (02) 8677 3836 prior to your appointment date. A referral letter from your General Practitioner will also be required. Please also bring any Scans/X-rays of the area of concern.

Dr Huang will then write the consultation letter to your General Practitioner with a copy being sent to your Workcover Insurer (with your permission).

Your General Practitioner will be your Nominated Treating Doctor for your Workers Compensation Certificates and Dr Huang will be the Nominated Treating Specialist. All Workers Compensation Certificates will be completed by your General Practitioner except for when surgery is performed, when Dr Huang will complete the initial post-operative certificate.
